Investigation 1, bloody murder

Tapping his fingers on the desk, it was obvious Gavin was bored out of his skull, and he didn't care about anyone else. There were no rumors, and nothing to do. He was waiting for a case, but there wasn't any crimes, or at least not big ones. Sitting in front of a mountain of case files, all stamped complete, but with a missing spot in the section for what happened. Gavin twirled his pencil, bored as can be, hoping someone could walk into the door, asking for help. He looked around, and got up from the desk, to walk into the sun light. He breathed in and looked at the crowd, standing around the mayor's village. The mayor had a meeting about the minor crimes in the village. The mayor was afraid the crimes would escalate, but everyone else thought he was crazy. The mayor then mentioned the last murder, which happened a week ago, and no one knew how she died, as it seemed like she had just frozen out of no where, then shattered like glass when it is hit with a hammer.
